ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Who will India face in semifinals after South Africa and Australia qualify from Group B?

South Africa and Australia qualified for the semifinals of the ICC Champions Trophy after grabbing the first two spots in the Group B standings.

The Proteas beat England in their last group-stage match in Karachi on Saturday to take the top spot, with five points, while Australia settled for the second position, with four points in the bag.

India will take on New Zealand in the last league-stage match of the tournament, and the winner of that game will determine the final semifinal line-ups.

While both India and New Zealand have already qualified for the semifinals from Group A, the winner of their match on Sunday will take the top spot.

Though it is already decided that India will play the first semifinal in Dubai on March 4, its opponent is not yet confirmed.

In case India beats New Zealand and tops the table, it will take on Australia – the second-placed team in the other group. On the other hand, if the Men in Blue lose to the Kiwis, they will face Group B table-topper South Africa in the first semifinal.

The second semifinal will take place on March 5 in Lahore. The final is scheduled for March 9, and will be held either in Lahore or in Dubai, depending on whether India makes it to the summit clash.
