Indiana received its second transfer portal commitment in as many days on Wednesday night as North Florida shooting guard Jasai Miles committed to the Hoosiers. A couple of hours later, Troy’s Tayton Conerway made it three players in two days; he also committed to Indiana.
Miles visited Indiana on Tuesday and Wednesday before deciding that Bloomington was the place for him.
Miles joins Sam Houston State’s Lamar Wilkerson and Conerway as guards who have committed to Darian DeVries and the Hoosiers this week. Tucker DeVries, Conor Enright, and Reed Bailey previously committed to Indiana out of the portal, and IU also has 2025 four-star forward Trent Sisley coming in next year.
As the Indiana roster takes shape, Miles could be an important factor in the Hoosiers’ success in year one of the DeVries era. He scored 15.4 points per game for the Ospreys, but Indiana needs his game to take another step in the efficiency department to bolster potential lineups.
Here is a look at the stats, background, game, and how Indiana might use him this season.
