Is Saturday Night Live New Tonight, April 12, 2025? Host and Musical Guest

Season 50 of Saturday Night Live has been a historic, cameo-packed, and (most importantly) very funny one. This season has brought us Marcello Hernández’s Domingo and his ever-expanding universe, delivered a sequel to Nate Bargatze’s “Washington’s Dream” sketch, and included and *three* double-duty episodes.

The show also welcomed three new Season 50 cast members in Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim, and Jane Wickline, who’ve already won fans with inspired visits to the “Weekend Update” desk (speaking of which, we’re still not over Ego Nwodim’s electric standup act from April 5!).

Season 50 has found creative ways to weave in celebrations of SNL‘s historic fiftieth year on the air, including cameos from cast alums Dana Carvey, Maya Rudolph, David Spade, and Mike Myers, plus two new Digital Shorts from Lonely Island. As we ponder the final stretch of episodes, questions abound: Who’ll be hosting? Who’ll return? And is it too greedy to hope for a third Lonely Island video?

Last week marked the triumphant return of Jack Black to Studio 8H — but is the April 12 SNL new too, or is it a repeat? Get the details below.

Lizzo.

The Emmy and Grammy winner will perform on Saturday Night Live for her fourth time. Her previous three appearances include being Host and Musical Guest in an April 16, 2022 double-duty episode.

The “Still Bad” singer posted an April 10 Instagram video that found her dancing into Studio 8H, already setting a festive vibe ahead of Saturday night.
