Jordan Peele-Produced HIM Gets Mysterious First Poster

Jordan Peele’s Monkey Paw Productions just revealed a mysterious new look at their next film. Produced by Peele himself, they’ve just unveiled the first poster for Him, a new sports-focused horror film starring Marlon Wayans as a legendary but aging football quarterback who takes a new player under his wing. The film is set to hit theaters this fall.

The poster simply features a football displayed in a glass case, with blood dripping off its seemingly pristine leather. It’s a basic but effective design, as the film follows “a promising young football player (Tyriq Withers), invited to train at the isolated compound of a dynasty team’s aging QB1. The legendary quarterback (Marlon Wayans) takes his protégé on a blood-chilling journey into the inner sanctum of fame, power and pursuit of excellence at any cost.”

Him, originally titled GOAT, is directed by Justin Tipping, and written by Zack Ayers and Skip Bronkie, who made the Black List in 2022 with the script. The sports horror is also set to co-star Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, Jim Jeffries, and Indira G. Wilson, as well as hip-hop stars Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack. Alongside Peele as producer, the film is also produced by Ian Cooper, Win Rosenfeld, and Jamal M. Watson.

Him is Peele’s latest cinematic effort as a producer to receive any news, despite having a new film as director planned for a 2026 release. Initially set for last Christmas, the film was delayed by the SAG and WGA strikes and has yet to receive any kind of updates after being removed from Universal’s release calendar — including a title.

Him hits theaters on September 19. Check out the new poster below:
