Justin Tucker: Could The Ravens Move On in 2025?

Justin Tucker has been the guy in Baltimore for a long time. When he walked out to kick, you just knew it was going in. People used to joke he was the most reliable player on the team, and honestly, they were not wrong. But things have changed lately. Between legal problems that are still being looked into and a noticeable dip in how he has been playing, the Ravens seem like they are seriously thinking about what comes next.

Off-the-Field Things Are Starting to Pile Up

So here is the deal. Justin Tucker is under investigation after a group of massage therapists, sixteen of them, came forward with some serious accusations. They are saying he acted inappropriately during sessions that happened years ago, between 2012 and 2016. Tucker has denied everything, but the NFL is looking into it.

The Ravens have not said they believe one side over the other, but they have made it clear they are paying attention. They are going to wait and see how things play out before making any decisions. Which, honestly, makes sense. You do not want to jump the gun when it comes to something this serious.

Still, it is hard to ignore the noise. The investigation is not going away anytime soon, and even if he ends up being cleared, it is already affecting how people see him and maybe even how the team thinks about him.

Things on the Field Are Not Looking So Hot Either

Last season was not great for Justin Tucker. He missed kicks. A lot more than usual. He only made 22 of 30 field goal attempts, which comes out to about 73 percent. For most kickers, that is just a bad year. But for Justin Tucker, it is kind of shocking. So when he has a season like that, people start asking questions.

He also missed a few extra points and just did not seem like himself. Some of those long kicks that used to be automatic? Not so much anymore. Maybe it is age, or maybe something else is going on. Either way, the Ravens noticed. You do not bring in college kids for private workouts if everything is fine.

They recently worked out Florida State’s Ryan Fitzgerald, who went 13-for-13 last season and nailed a bunch from over 50 yards. They are also reportedly looking at veteran free agents, just in case. So yeah, they are preparing for a world without Tucker, even if they are not saying that out loud.

So What Happens Now?

Right now, Justin Tucker is still with the team. Nothing official has happened yet. But between the legal mess and his kicking struggles, it kind of feels like the Ravens are getting things ready just in case they need to make a change.

That does not mean they are done with him. He has done a ton for the franchise, and he is still probably better than most kickers in the league. But the NFL is not about feelings. It is about production. If the team thinks they can do better or if the off-field stuff becomes too much, they will make a move.
