Kessler Edwards returns after brief exit in Mavs-Suns; Brandon Williams ruled out late

The Mavericks’ injury issues continue.

As the third quarter of Sunday’s meeting with the Suns ended, two key Dallas frontcourt members were taken to the locker room for evaluation. Kessler Edwards and Dwight Powell left the game after colliding while chasing down a rebound.

Edwards stayed on the floor for a few brief moments while Powell made his way back to the bench. Powell had blood near his forehead as he walked off the court, and was tended to by the training staff before he also went to the locker room.

Edwards returned to the game in the fourth quarter with a bandage over his left eye. The Mavericks then lost guard Brandon Williams, who was ruled out with left hamstring tightness.
