Bronny James hasn’t exactly made his mark for the Los Angeles Lakers this season.
The 20-year-old did drop a career-high 17 points on Thursday in a 118-98 blowout against the Milwaukee Bucks, but overall, James has not done enough to earn a significant spot in coach JJ Redick’s rotation.
It’s a much different story for the rookie in the NBA G League, though. A testament to this fact is how James exploded for a career-best 39-point performance on Monday as he led the South Bay Lakers to a 122-118 victory over the Santa Cruz Warriors.
It was without a doubt James’ best game as a pro, and it comes as no surprise that his superstar dad was delighted with the same. So much so, that LeBron James decided to change his profile picture on Instagram to commemorate his son’s big game.
Unsurprisingly, LeBron James’ Bronny move quickly turned heads on social media.
“That’s tough,” a comment on X read.
“LeBron and his family 🔥🔥🔥” said another.
“That’s so amazing to see,” reacted a fan.

“he’s so proud of Bronny. as he should be,” declared a user.
“Dude just a proud father man,” agreed another.
“Father love ❤️” a reaction read.
Monday’s offensive masterclass was Bronny James’ 17th game for South Bay. During that span, the former USC star has put up averages of 18.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.7 steals, while also knocking down 2.2 triples per contest.
No wonder LeBron James has been a proud dad.
