What holes are Amen Corner?

Amen Corner is the most famous part of the course at Augusta National Golf Club, where tournaments often have been won or lost throughout history.

The treacherous stretch takes golfers from the par-4 11th and follows Rae’s Creek to the short-but-difficult par-3 12th and into the par-5 13th.

How’d Amen Corner get its name. Here’s an explanation from the Palm Beach Post.

Has Justin Rose won the Masters?

Justin Rose has never won the Masters. Making his 20th appearance in the tournament, Rose’s best finish came in 2017 when he finished solo second behind Sergio Garcia. Rose also finished T-2 in 2015 behind Jordan Spieth.

Has Justin Rose won a major?

Rose’s only major win came at the 2013 U.S. Open when he outdueled Phil Mickelson at the East Course of Merion Golf Club in Pennsylvania. Rose finished 1 over for the tournament to capture the victory.

He also won golf’s return to the Olympic Games, bringing home the gold medal from Rio in 2016.

Has Bryson DeChambeau won the Masters?

Bryson, the most popular player on the LIV Golf Tour, has not yet won the Masters. He’s participated in the tournament since 2017, when he was low amateur while a student at SMU. His best finish at Augusta National was a tie for sixth in 2024.

Scottie Scheffler scorecard today

Defending champion Scottie Scheffler is off to a steady start to Friday’s round. He hit the first four greens in regulation, then scrambled for a par on No. 5 and is 1 under going into No. 6.

You can follow along his hole-by-hole action here.

Rory McIlroy scorecard today

Rory McIlroy, seeking the career grand slam with a Masters win, has swept through Amen Corner with vengeance.

He entered the critical stretch of holes with a birdie on No. 10, then made birdie on 11 and par on 12.

From the pine straw, he attacked the pin on the par-5 13th, narrowly clearing tributary of Rae’s Creek. His eagle putt rolled into the side of the hole, making him 5 under on the day, and for the tournament, despite collapsing late Thursday to card even par in the first round.
