Matt Hardy was a big fan of a recent WWE segment that built on an upcoming match for WrestleMania 41.
On the latest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the TNA Wrestling star spoke about the angle of last week’s episode of WWE RAW between Gunther and The Usos. Hardy praised the segment and believes it was a great way to build to the WrestleMania match between Gunther and Jey Uso.

“100% he is,” Matt Hardy began. “I think if you take, you know he just recently teamed with his brother, they had a great outing, but you take his brother, which is someone he’s got a long history with and you put him in the ring with this guy’s opposition and now he’s taking this out on his brother. He’s destroying his brother right in front of him, he’s handcuffed, can’t do anything.
“It feels so hopeless and defenseless, right? He’s going to feel guilty deep down because he did that to his brother because of him and their issues. I thought that was great storytelling, I thought it was a great way to make Gunther a real badass who’s a real cold-blooded destruction machine. I loved all that, and I thought it was a great way to build the match.” [H/T: Fightful]
The next chapter in the storyline between Jey Uso and Gunther will play out tonight on RAW. WWE took to social media this afternoon to hype tonight’s segment, tweeting out:

“After @Gunther_AUT’s brutal attack on Jimmy Uso last week, what will go down when the World Heavyweight Champion and Jey @WWEUsos are in the same building TONIGHT on #WWERaw? *TV emoji* 8ET/5PT on @netflix,” WWE said in a post.
