The Los Angeles Angels battled the Seattle Mariners on the road Wednesday in hopes of climbing back toward the .500 mark less than 30 games into the 2025 MLB season.

Angels manager Ron Washington decided to pull 11-time All-Star and three-time MVP Mike Trout as the game progressed, a surprising development considering the Angels outfielder has started all 29 games this season including Wednesday’s contest.

Rumors swirled as no reason was given for Trout’s exit from the game initially.

“Omg he got traded,” one fan said.

“He better not have been traded,” another added.

“He’s either injured or trade,” another fan said.

Trout has been hitting .173 this season, although he has clubbed nine home runs for Washington’s team.

“He needs a day off,” another fan said, mentioning his batting average.

Trout was 1-2 with a single and a ground out before being replaced by Jo Adell.

“Nooo,” another fan added as fans continued to speculate on what the acute cause of Trout’s exit was on Wednesday.

Washington’s team scored a run in the fourth inning to tie the game up, but fans continued to wonder about Trout’s status.
