The son of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas has been placed into an induced coma after crashing his Tesla, according to multiple reports.
Alijah Arenas, 18, was involved in the serious accident on Thursday morning, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
TMZ later reported that Alijah had crashed his Tesla Cybertruck, with the car reportedly ‘mangled’ on the side of a residential Los Angeles road.
Emergency responders reportedly arrived to the scene at 4:55am, with the front of the car on fire.
The fire department had initially responded to a ‘trapped patient’ call, according to TMZ, though Alijah was said to be out of the vehicle when authorities arrived.
It is unclear if there were others in the Cybertruck with him, and if so, how many.
Alijah is a five-star basketball prospect committed to play at USC next season.
