Netflix fans have been left ‘kicking and screaming’ after new episodes of a divisive show finally landed on the platform.
Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black released its first eight instalments back in October and has now dropped the final eight episodes.
The series follows two women with contrasting lifestyles whose fates suddenly become entangled. The synopsis reads: “An exotic dancer’s fate takes a turn when she crosses paths with the dysfunctional family behind a cosmetics dynasty and a devious trafficking scheme.”
Upon its release, the Perry production attracted mixed but mostly negative reviews. One IMDB user slated the drama, writing: “If I could rate it with zero, I would, given how bad the series is. Terrible acting, poor dialogue, everything done in a completely amateurish way.”

Other echoed this sentiment on Rotten Tomatoes, where the series boasts an average 52 percent score from audiences.
However, some viewers were hooked on the drama, with one sharing: “I finished this in 1 day. Not a big fan of his [Tyler Perry] shows but this one was entertaining. Not so sure why so many negative reviews. […]Can’t wait for the next 8 episodes!”
The final episodes have now been released on the streamer and audiences have flocked to social media to share their excitement.

“New episodes of Beauty in Black are out I am kicking and screaming rn,” one person penned on X, formerly Twitter. Another viewer hinted at their plans to binge watch the series, posting: “Beauty in Black [is] back on don’t call my phone.”
Meanwhile a third person gushed: “Can’t wait to binge watch the second part of Beauty in Black tonight. I’ve been counting down the days,” and a fourth shared: “I’m so excited about watching Beauty in Black todayyy.” (sic).
Another TV fan succinctly shared their verdict: “This show is so toxic!”
Beauty in Black stars Taylor Polidore Williams (Divorce in the Black) as Kimmie, a stripper whose life takes a turn when she meets a wealthy family with dark secrets.
The cast also features Acrimony star Crystle Stewart as Mallory, Amber Reign Smith as Rain, Debbi Morgan as Olivia and Richard Lawson as Norman.
