SALT LAKE CITY – In the second period against the Nashville Predators, Utah Hockey Club forward Nick Bjugstad found the perfect angle from close on the left to open scoring.
The goal was Bjugstad’s seventh of the season, which moved him up to 18 total points.
SNEAKY shot from Bjugstad down low.
To recognize that tiny amount of space up high and thread the needle is impressive.
Great shot. https://t.co/WVDAdHluB2

Set up in the left corner, Bjugstad inched toward the middle before quickly snapping a shot that flew in front of the Nashville goaltender and into the top right corner.
Alexander Kerfoot was credited with an assist on the play.
Down the stretch of the second period, almost all major stat categories were nearly dead even. Looking at shots, power plays, blocks, and giveaways, neither team had a noticeable advantage.
The heroes of the game were Bjugstad and Karel Vejmelka, who had 14 saves, including some blatant robberies.
