Nottingham Forest vs Everton: Premier League preview, team news, stats & head-to-head

  • Following their 2-0 win at Goodison Park in December, Nottingham Forest are looking to complete their first league double over Everton since 1994-95.
  • Everton have won three of their last four away league games against Nottingham Forest (D1), as many as they had in their previous 29 visits to the City Ground (D6 L20).
  • Everton have only won two of their last 67 Premier League away games at sides starting the day in the top three in the table (D22 L43). Under David Moyes, they have won just one of 36 league matches against top three sides (D13 L22), beating third-place Manchester City 2-1 in December 2010.
  • Nottingham Forest have won seven of their last nine Premier League home games (D2), more than their previous 24 beforehand (W6 D7 L11). The Tricky Trees have also kept a clean sheet in each of their last four at the City Ground, last recording more in a row at home in the top-flight in May 1980 under Brian Clough (8).
  • Six of Everton’s last eight Premier League games have been drawn (W1 L1), while the Toffees have drawn 14 league matches overall this season. Only in 1994-95 (17), 2010-11 (15), and 2012-13 (15) have they drawn more Premier League matches in a single campaign.
  • Nottingham Forest have won 12 of their last 13 Premier League games against teams starting the day in the bottom half of the table (L1), including winning the last nine in a row.
  • 45.5% of Everton’s Premier League goals this season have come via set pieces (15/33). Only in 2023-24 (52.5%) and 2006-07 (46.2%) have they scored a higher proportion of their goals from set plays.
  • Callum Hudson-Odoi created six chances for Nottingham Forest in their 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa, his most in any of his 127 Premier League games to date. Since Forest returned to the top-flight in 2022-23, only Morgan Gibbs-White has created more in a single game for them (7 vs Bournemouth in January 2023).
  • Nottingham Forest’s Jota Silva has scored in three of his last four Premier League appearances, scoring each of those three goals as a substitute. It is the joint most sub goals by a Forest player in a Premier League season, along with Jason Lee’s three in 1994-95.
  • Iliman Ndiaye has scored four goals in his last five Premier League starts for Everton, all since David Moyes was re-appointed as manager. He is averaging a goal every 115 minutes under Moyes; among players to play seven or more games under him in the Premier League, only Apostolos Vellios (one every 110 mins) and Nick Chadwick (one every 111 mins) have scored at a more frequent rate.
