CHESTER, PA. — Coming off a comeback win on the road, Orlando City SC will look to get some revenge against the Philadelphia Union after falling to them in the first game of the season.
Heading into this game, however, the Lions will be without their midfield duo of César Araújo and Eduard Atuesta, who both felt tightness late in the week at training. In their places, Joran Gerbet and Dagur Dan Thórhallsson will step in. This is the first time Thórhallsson has started in midfield since 2023, a position he was initially brought in to play.
In the defense, David Brekalo will get the start alongside Rodrigo Schlegel and Robin Jansson, giving Orlando three centerbacks. Look for Iván Angulo and Alex Freeman to play more as wingbacks than traditional fullbacks in this setup.
On the bench, Rafael Santos, Dunchan McGuire and Ramiro Enrique will be available if needed.
