“Paradise” Season 2 is continuing to build out its cast, with Thomas Doherty joining the Hulu drama in a key recurring guest star role.
Exact details on Doherty’s character are being kept under wraps. He is the latest addition to the second season of “Paradise,” which is currently in production. Previously, it was revealed that Shailene Woodley would also be joining the show. The first season of “Paradise” starred Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Aliyah Mastin and Percy Daggs IV.
The role continues Doherty’s relationship with Hulu, as he recently appeared in the second season of the streamer’s drama series “Tell Me Lies.” He also appeared in Hulu’s series take on “High Fidelity” in 2020. Doherty is also known for his role in two of the “Descendants” films at Disney, the Max reboot of “Gossip Girl,” “Girls5Eva,” and the feature “Dandelion.”
He is repped by Anonymous Content, Gersh, The Lede Company, Olivia Bell Management, and Peikoff Mahan.
“Paradise” originally debuted on Hulu in January and was renewed for a second season in February. As Variety exclusively reported, the first season will air on ABC beginning April 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The official logline for Season 1 states, “‘Paradise’ is set in a serene community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquility explodes when a shocking murder occurs, and a high-stakes investigation unfolds.”
Dan Fogelman created the series and serves as executive producer and showrunner. Brown also executive produces in addition to starring. John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, John Hoberg, Jess Rosenthal, and Steve Beers executive produce as well. 20th Television, where Fogelman is under an overall deal, is the studio.
