The Sacramento Kings are on the end of a grueling, late-season six-game road trip. They’ve won two in a row and are within spitting distance of .500, where they have been hovering all season. The Detroit Pistons, meanwhile, are trying to get healthy and get right. Cade Cunningham is back and looking to round into peak form for the playoffs. Jalen Duren is back, and he is vitally important as a rebounder and gravitational lob threat that helps Cunningham do all his things. Tobias Harris, unfortunately, remains out.
The Pistons have lost three of four, and when you look at the Kings lineup, all you see are Pistons killers of seasons past. I recall being on the receiving end of a lot of lopsided stat sheets at the hand of Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and even Trey Lyles. Let’s hope Detroit can tame their offensive power and win a game behind some convincing defense.
