  1. West Ham 0-1 Bournemouth
  2. Double West Ham change. Niclas Fullkrug and Carlos Soler replace Tomas Soucek and Edson Alvarez.
  3. Daniel Munoz (55 mins)
  4. Great finish!
  5. Crystal Palace quickly get up the pitch and it comes to Eberechi Eze, who is all on his own on the left-hand side.
  6. He drifts in and finds Daniel Munoz on the opposite flank, who drives a low, powerful shot into the bottom far corner.
  7. Brilliant finish and Palace have the lead again.

  9. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  10. Wolves are trying to get the ball into the box but it just keeps pinging off Ipswich players in the way.

  12. West Ham 0-1 Bournemouth
  13. Oooof. Bournemouth look dangerous on the break as Dango Outtara, who’s having a great game so far, fizzes in a low cross that’s just ahead of the stretching Evanilson.
  14. West Ham 0-1 Bournemouth
  15. Decent start to the half from West Ham as Emerson scoops a cross in for Tomas Soucek but Dango Outtara manages to hook the ball away.
  16. Oh, what’s this? Niclas Fullkrug is warming up on the sidelines and is about to come.
  17. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  18. That’s a heck of a hit from Joao Gomes and not much Alex Palmer could’ve done had he managed to get it on target.
  19. Luckily for the Ipswich keeper it was just wide.
  20. Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton
  21. Now then, Brighton get on the break and Maxence Lacroix is down after a collision with Kaoru Mitoma. Both men haven’t come out of this well, they seem to be in a bit of bother.
  22. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  23. Rayan Ait-Nouri cuts it back from the byline but the resulting shot is deflected behind.
  24. Image source, Getty Images
  25. West Ham 0-1 Bournemouth
  26. West Ham are keeping hold of the ball nicely. Alphonse Areola has had a few touches and has had a decent reception each time he’s had possession.
  27. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  28. Back under way, more drama to come?

  30. Hammer’s season has been over for some time already. I don’t see us improving beyond 16th or even 17th place now. Midfield is weak. I would be happy to see Paqueta, Alvarez, Gonzales, Soler and Kudus all go. We need some real characters in there. Bournemouth, Brentford and even Wolves have them. Massive rebuilding job required in East London otherwise it will be the same next season.
  31. Image source, Reuters
  32. West Ham 0-1 Bournemouth
  33. West Ham do make a change at the break. Emerson replaces young full-back Ollie Scarles.
  34. Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton
  35. Away we go for the second half.
  36. Almost missed it thanks to a bunch of running horses.
  37. FT: Everton 1-1 Arsenal
  38. Everton
  39. Everton boss David Moyes, speaking to TNT Sports: “We’re getting much closer [to safety] but until we’re mathematically safe we cannot say too much. To be fair it’ll be very hard for the other sides to get to where we are.
  40. “Our performance in the first half looked like we had a game on Wednesday night and Arsenal had the extra recovery. I thought we were really poor and made some incredibly poor decisions. We got about them a little bit at half-time and told them we expected more.
  41. “Whether it was good fortune or whatever we got a penalty.
  42. “When I got the job [in January] I thought if I took Everton down it would be an absolute disaster. The big thing is the players have responded really well and we’ve gone from people saying we don’t score any goals to being a threat.”
  43. HT: West Ham 0-1 Bournemouth
  44. Looks like Alphonse Areola will keep his spot between the posts.
  45. FT: Everton 1-1 Arsenal
  46. Arsenal
  47. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to BBC MOTD: “Yeah, I’m 100% frustrated. We were very much in control of the match. We were hoping in the second half to continue the domination but out of nothing the referee decides to give a penalty. I’ve seen it 15 times…it’s not a penalty.
  48. “They [Everton] are very good what they do. We gave away so many silly fouls which led to set pieces. They generated nothing at all.”
  49. On the title race: We have no margins – that’s so clear. We have done enough to win the game but the margins are very small.”
  50. HT: West Ham 0-1 Bournemouth
  51. Substitute goalie Lukasz Fabianski is warming up for West Ham at half-time.
  52. FT: Everton 1-1 Arsenal
  53. Everton
  54. Everton manager David Moyes, speaking to BBC MOTD: “Our first-half performance was really poor – sloppy, slacking from the first moment. We gave Arsenal encouragement and that’s the one they certainly don’t need. They’re a good enough team.
  55. “Credit to players, they turned it around at half-time, got about it and a great reaction from the crowd that helped us get a penalty and in the end, get a point against a good team.”
  56. On playing Liverpool on Wednesday: “If you’re going to become a top team you have to get used to playing midweek, we’re probably not used to it here. I think it was a factor. The early kick-off, those extra hours can make a difference. We didn’t start well.”
  57. On what’s to play for: “I’ve said to the players the challenge we’ve got to prove how we can get on against the better teams. We are trying to play better, we didn’t today do that so we need to find a way we can do that. Moving forward we are trying to find how to get better against better sides.”
  58. On Iliman Ndiaye: “We missed Iliman. He is one of our major talents, we’ve missed Dwight McNeil as well and we are without Dom [Calvert-Lewin], so we’ve had to find a way to get results.
  59. “We’ve done a pretty good job. We are just about there, not mathematically, but just about clear of being a Premier League team. I will probably visit the stadium this week now that I am feeing that way.”
  60. Image source, Getty Images
  61. FT: Everton 1-1 Arsenal
  62. Arsenal
  63. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, speaking to TNT Sports: “Especially with the result very unhappy. It’s tough place to come. A team that is very physical and direct. The start of the second half was very poor, gave the ball away, very insecure and then the decision with the penalty comes. It’s for me, never a penalty.
  64. “The game just started in the second half, you want to get some momentum. We never got to that because the game became really different.”
  65. On physicality: It’s always like this and that’s a big strength of the Premier League and you have to deal with that, you have to live with that like many other teams in the Premier League.”
  66. On positives: “We had some very big chances that we didn’t finish very well apart form the goal. They didn’t generate anything at all so it’s very disappointing that we concede a goal.”
  67. On drawing 11 games: “You have to win many more games.”
  68. On team fitness: That’s all good but we wanted the three points, you want everything the way you plan it. We did a lot of good things, managed to rest some players but we want three points.”

  70. Right then, let’s quickly sweep up reaction to Arsenal’s draw at Everton…

  2. Nick Mashiter
  3. BBC Sport football news reporter at Portman Road
  4. Alex Palmer received his yellow card for encroachment but avoided one for handling the backpass.
  5. The International Football Association Board (IFAB) who set the laws of the game state if a goalkeeper handles a backpass “an indirect free kick is awarded and no card is shown.”
  6. The Football Association’s guidance is also clear: “If the goalkeeper handles the ball inside their penalty area when not permitted to do so, an indirect free kick is awarded but there is no disciplinary sanction.”
  7. HT: West Ham 0-1 Bournemouth
  8. Just when you think the West Ham goalkeeper debate is finally settled…..boom, another twist.
  9. get involved#bbcfootball, via WhatsApp on 03301231826 or text 81111 (UK only, standard message rates apply)
  10. Areola – good shot stopper but doesn’t command the area. Three times this half he should have come for the ball and doesn’t. Another position we have to change in the summer.
  11. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  12. Well, plenty of talking points at the break but it’s Ipswich who head in at half-time with a crucial lead.
  13. West Ham 0-1 Bournemouth
  14. One or two boos from some home supporters at the break.
  15. Image source, Getty Images
  16. West Ham 0-1 Bournemouth
  17. Two minutes added on. The mission for West Ham is to survive. Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo gets to a loose ball on the edge of the box but his rushed shot is easily blocked.
  18. On the break Mohammed Kudus races down the right but his cross is seriously mishit. Sliced into row z.
  19. Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton
  20. Entertaining half. All square at the break after goals from Jean-Philippe Mateta and Danny Welbeck.
  21. Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton
  22. Ironic “wheeeyy” from the fans as Alex Palmer gathers the ball from a free-kick.
  23. West Ham 0-1 Bournemouth
  24. So, so close to a second.
  25. Illia Zabarnyi is lurking on the edge of the six yard box and, leaning back, just about flicks on Lewis Cooks’ corner, but his effort rattles the face of the crossbar and bounces out.
  26. West Ham are on the ropes.
  27. Image source, Reuters
  28. Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton
  29. Pat Nevin
  30. Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live
  31. It’s all up to Brighton today, they have to go and attack this. Right now Palace are trying to play on the break, but they haven’t been very effective since the first ten minutes.
  32. West Ham 0-1 Bournemouth
  33. VAR checks to see if Evanilson went too early, and checks for a long time – a full two minutes.
  34. But it’s given, onside. Bournemouth lead.
  35. Image source, Reuters
  36. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  37. Chris Sutton
  38. Former Blackburn striker on Final Score
  39. Morsy is half a yard away and it is a brilliant block.
  40. But Wolves should have been more innovative there.
  41. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  42. Sam Morsy makes the crucial block to deny the indirect free-kick.
  43. But that was pretty ridiculous it needed something a bit more creative from Emmanuel Agbadou than that to beat the 11 men in the goal mouth.
  44. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  45. Alex Palmer receives a yellow card for encroachment.
  46. He wasn’t standing far enough away from Emmanuel Agbadou taking the indirect free-kick.
  47. Image source, Getty Images
  48. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  49. Nick Mashiter
  50. BBC Sport football news reporter at Portman Road
  51. There are fewer better sights in football than the entire team on the line.
  52. Evanilson (38 mins)
  53. Five goals in six games for Brazilian Evanilson.
  54. This one’s a tap-in as Alphonse Areola makes a mess of Antoine Semenyo’s shot and palms it straight to Evanilson, unmarked and a few yards out.
  55. VAR will check for offside.
  56. Image source, Getty Images
  57. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  58. Goodness me. Wolves have an indirect free-kick on the six-yard line.
  59. Absolutely insane amount of bodies in the box.
  60. West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth
  61. Jarrod Bowen is lonely up top for West Ham this afternoon. An optimistic ball over the top for the Englishman is too pacey and goes straight to Kepa in the Bournemouth net.
  62. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  63. Oh my word! Alex Palmer has almost had an absolute howler!
  64. He takes a touch from a simple back pass from his defender and completely messes it up, almost nudging it over his own line.
  65. He scrambles back to palm it off the line.
  66. What a mess!
  67. get involved#bbcfootball, via WhatsApp on 03301231826 or text 81111 (UK only, standard message rates apply)
  68. This is a really scrappy, low quality game at the moment but Wolves have made the mistake of underestimating how much desire Ipswich have to turn around the nine point gap. This is such a crucial game. Wolves need to nip in with one before half time – I’d take a draw at this point!

Page 3

  2. Nick Mashiter
  3. BBC Sport football news reporter at Portman Road
  4. Julio Enciso wins a challenge with Joao Gomes and whips up the home supporters. Since going ahead Ipswich have managed to contain Wolves well, even if they’ve not managed to create further chances to add to their lead.
  5. Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton
  6. Chris Sutton
  7. Former Blackburn striker on Final Score
  8. It is a brilliant centre-forward’s goal. Welbeck peels past Munoz and he gets across him and gets a touch from six yards out.
  9. Classic centre-forward’s goal.
  10. Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton
  11. Danny Welbeck’s chant is sang at full pelt by the travelling Brighton fans.
  12. That’s eight Premier League goals for him this season.
  13. Image source, Reuters
  14. West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth
  15. Chance for Bournemouth as Lewis Cook sends a cross from the shade into the sunshine which Dango Outtara gets to at the back post, sliding in. Thomas Soucek meets Outtara’s pass back across goal and almost bundles the ball into his own net but keeper Alphonse Areola claws it away.
  16. Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton
  17. Pat Nevin
  18. Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live
  19. What a horrible ball from Minteh to try and defend. Welbeck uses every bit of experience he has, he was second favourite to get that ball. His timing to nick in front of the defender was magnificent.
  20. get involved#bbcfootball, via WhatsApp on 03301231826 or text 81111 (UK only, standard message rates apply)
  21. I’m clearly a more optimistic Wolves fan than Nick @ 15:26. Even if Ipswich win this, I’m not even thinking about relegation. I think we’re staying up regardless of what happens today (famous last words).
  22. Danny Welbeck (31 mins)
  23. Good, slick passing around the penalty area from Brighton but it’s an absolutely delicious ball from Yankuba Minteh on the right and Danny Welbeck gets in front of his man and slides past Dean Henderson from six-yards out.
  24. All square.
  25. Image source, Reuters
  26. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  27. Sam Morsy fancies a hit from 25-yards out but it’s straight at Jose Sa.
  28. Crystal Palace 1-0 Brighton
  29. Pat Nevin
  30. Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live
  31. Mitoma gets the ball and does this beautiful little trick where you think he’s going to go left and he turns right. He’s done it three times in this game, and so far really good defenders have looked utterly bemused by it.
  32. West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth
  33. Bournemouth’s Lewis Cook wipes out Lucas Paqueta on the halfway line and correctly goes in the book.
  34. Crystal Palace 1-0 Brighton
  35. Yankuba Minteh does well down the right-hand side to shove his marker off but can’t get his shot on target.
  36. West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth
  37. That West Ham momentum, yeah it’s fizzled out now.
  38. Halfway through the first half and just the three shots in the match, with none of them on target.
  39. get involved#bbcfootball, via WhatsApp on 03301231826 or text 81111 (UK only, standard message rates apply)
  40. As a Wolves fan I’ve got to say maybe the Championship won’t be so bad. If Ipswich do the double over us we deserve to go down. Maybe half of our inconsistent and at times clueless defence will find their level.
  41. Image source, Getty Images
  42. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  43. Wolves win a free-kick very close to the side line and it’s a tight angle and the delivery goes straight into the side netting.
  44. West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth
  45. Chance for West Ham. After a corner initially breaks down Edson Alverez dinks in a lovely cross at the back post for Ollie Scarles, but nobody can get on the youngster’s pass across goal.
  46. West Ham are having a decent spell at the mo.
  47. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  48. Ashley Williams
  49. Former Wales defender on Final Score
  50. It took about three minutes and I told you straight away it was onside.
  51. VAR ruins it because they scored and they all celebrated and then they have to stop and wonder if it counts.
  52. Image source, Getty Images
  53. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  54. How has that not gone in?!
  55. Wolves win a corner and it’s a whipped delivery to the back post, Toti Gomes goes for a cheeky backheel but Dara O’Shea clears off the line.
  56. get involved#bbcfootball, via WhatsApp on 03301231826 or text 81111 (UK only, standard message rates apply)
  57. Mateta has come back strongly from that horrendous injury. He is a striker brimming with confidence, who deserves praise for how he has bounced back so quickly. I just hope he stays at Palace for a few more seasons, as we’ve missed a consistent striker for years, and that’s the difference when you have top half ambitions.
  58. West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth
  59. Ollie Scarles has struggled so far as he dribbles straight into trouble and suddenly Bournemouth have a four on three.
  60. The ball is threaded through the eye of a needle to Dango Outtara in the penalty area but Aaron Wan-Bissaka makes a brilliant recovery challenge to save the home side.
  61. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  62. Nick Mashiter
  63. BBC Sport football news reporter at Portman Road
  64. Simple for Ipswich and potentially a huge lifeline. Sloppy from Wolves.

  1. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  2. Liam Delap is onside! The goal stands. What a start for Ipswich.
  3. All of a sudden, things don’t look quite so bleak for them.
  4. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  5. Chris Sutton
  6. Former Blackburn striker on Final Score
  7. It is on! I predicted Ipswich would win this one.
  8. If they stay up, this is their chance. They have got to beat Wolves.
  9. Massive for Ipswich.
  10. Image source, Getty Images
  11. Ipswich 1-0 Wolves
  12. VAR having a good long look at this.
  13. Liam Delap looks onside to me but this is taking an awfully long time.
  14. Liam Delap (16 mins)
  15. Who else?!
  16. Brilliant ball over the top to the back post from Axel Tuanzebe, he finds Dara O’Shea who head back across goal and Liam Delap stabs home.
  17. VAR will have a look at this, was he offside?
  18. get involved#bbcfootball, via WhatsApp on 03301231826 or text 81111 (UK only, standard message rates apply)
  19. After a slow start and their best player being taken away, Glasner at Palace is showing his mettle. I hope Palace are able to keep hold of him, with all the rumours about the RB Leipzig job.
  20. West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth
  21. A change of energy at a sun-kissed London Stadium. The home fans are getting nervous when their team are on the ball as another pass is intercepted. Although, once again, the Hammers are back to recover and clear a Dango Outtara cross.
  22. Crystal Palace 1-0 Brighton
  23. Pat Nevin
  24. Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live
  25. After a very sluggish start, Brighton look better now. They’ve calmed down and got their shape looking better.
  26. Image source, Reuters
  27. Crystal Palace 1-0 Brighton
  28. Crystal Palace fail to clear the ball and it drops for Carlos Baleba 20-yards out. His shot is powerful but Dean Henderson parries away. Danny Welbeck is there to try and stab home on the follow up but it’s another decent save by the legs of Henderson.
  29. Ipswich 0-0 Wolves
  30. Wolves have started the brighter here.
  31. Jorgen Strand Larsen does well down the right but his low shot is well saved by Alex Palmer and Wolves win a corner.
  32. Its a good delivery into the back post and Toti Gomes has a free header but doesn’t quite connect well enough and Palmer saves.
  33. West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth
  34. Nineteen-year-old Ollie Scarles has the sun is his eyes as his pass is intercepted by a Bournemouth midfielder.
  35. Dango Outtara eventually gets on the ball and his cross deflects wickedly off Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s knee but Alphonse Areola is down low to his left to keep it out. Good game this, it’s been an open start so far.
  36. Crystal Palace 1-0 Brighton
  37. Ooooh. Crystal Palace almost make it two as the long ball comes over the top for Eberechi Eze, who takes an absolutely sublime touch and drives his shot towards the bottom far corner but Bart Verbruggen gets a slight touch to it and it flashes wide for a corner.
  38. West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth
  39. First West Ham corner and Chelsea loannee Kepa can hardly be seen despite wearing a highlighter yellow jersey as he’s surrounded by giant West Ham attackers.
  40. The Spaniard does really well, on his toes, and punches away a cross that lands just under his crossbar.
  41. Crystal Palace 1-0 Brighton
  42. Pat Nevin
  43. Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live Online
  44. Mateta looked good even before he scored the goal. He’s got a real confidence about every thing he does, and every time he gets the ball he wants to turn and shoot.
  45. Image source, Reuters
  46. Ipswich 0-0 Wolves
  47. Nick Mashiter
  48. BBC Sport football news reporter at Portman Road
  49. There has been plenty of encouragement from Ipswich in the opening minutes, they know how high the stakes are, but Jean Ricner Bellegarde has just fired a warning shot over for Wolves.
  50. Ipswich 0-0 Wolves
  51. Ashley Williams
  52. Former Wales defender on Final Score
  53. I will be keeping my eye on the Ipswich v Wolves game.
  54. Is Kieran McKenna going to try and win at all costs or is he going to play his brand of football, which is a bit more of a risk?
  55. Image source, Reuters
  56. Ipswich 0-0 Wolves
  57. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde picks up the ball on the edge of the box and lets fly but his effort is just over the bar.
  58. West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth
  59. Better from West Ham who spray a couple of passes around in the middle.
  60. Aaron Wan-Bissaka gets in a great crossing position but for some reason decides to turn back and pass to a marked team-mate. Eventually Mohammed Kudus sends in a hopeful ball that’s too tricky for Jarrod Bowen to get to.
  61. Frustrating. Very frustrating.
  62. Crystal Palace 1-0 Brighton
  63. Pat Nevin
  64. Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live
  65. Phenomenal finish. Mateta has got in behind the defence a couple of times already, this time he takes one touch and doesn’t think about anything else. It’s sweet, straight into the top corner.
  66. Image source, Getty Images
  67. Crystal Palace 1-0 Brighton
  68. Ashley Williams
  69. Former Wales defender on Final Score
  70. Excellent goal. It is a simple ball, it is a great run and the finish is sublime from Mateta.
  71. He has come back full of confidence.
  72. Image source, Getty Images
  73. Crystal Palace 1-0 Brighton
  74. That’s Jean-Philippe Mateta’s first goal since his head injury in the FA Cup and 13th overall in the Premier League this season.

  2. Alex Howell
  3. BBC football news reporter at Selhurst Park
  4. Wow, that goal form Mateta is an excellent finish. It was one of those that you knew it was going in as soon as it left his foot.
  5. The ‘boom’ from the crowd when he kicked the corner flag for his trademark celebration was so loud too.
  6. Jean-Philippe Mateta
  7. Well I said it’s been a lively start and that’s certainly cranked things up a bit too!
  8. A lovely pass between the lines from Eberechi Eze finds Jean-Philippe Mateta who picks his spot and smashes home.
  9. A brilliant start for the home side.
  10. Image source, Getty Images
  11. West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth
  12. Decent early chance for Bournemouth.
  13. The Cherries break down the left and Dango Outtara whips in a delicious ball right on the head of Evanilson who nods just wide.
  14. Crystal Palace 0-0 Brighton
  15. Alex Howell
  16. BBC football news reporter at Selhurst Park
  17. Mateta’s shot goes just wide behind the Brighton goal but the home fans think for a moment he had given Palace the lead.
  18. It’s a great atmosphere inside Selhurst Park.
  19. Crystal Palace 0-0 Brighton
  20. A lively start at Selhurst Park with the fans in full voice on a glorious day.
  21. Lovely turn from Adam Wharton who slips in for Jean-Philippe Mateta but the French forward can only find the side netting.
  22. A clean start and we’re off.
  23. Three matches at 15:00 BST today. Plenty of drama to come.
  24. West Ham v Bournemouth (15:00 BST)
  25. Ashley Williams
  26. Former Wales defender on Final Score
  27. I think when a team like Bournemouth plays with such high intensity and they give so much, sometimes it takes it out of you both physically and mentally.
  28. You maybe just drop the levels a little bit and then it is difficult to get it back on track.
  29. Image source, Getty Images
  30. Crystal Palace v Brighton (15:00 BST)
  31. Both of these teams will be disappointed with their midweek results.
  32. Brighton were thrashed 3-0 by Aston Villa and Crystal Palace scored in injury time to salvage a point against relegation-threatened Southampton.
  33. Both sides will be looking to get back on track in this derby match (that isn’t really a derby match).
  34. Ipswich v Wolves (15:00 BST)
  35. Stephen Warnock
  36. Former Liverpool defender on the Football Daily podcast
  37. I think there will be a feeling in the Ipswich training ground to hope they can go on a run at the end of the season.
  38. I think they have found it difficult but can they maybe get another victory and put a bit of pressure on Wolves?
  39. Ipswich v Wolves (15:00 BST)
  40. Six weeks ago this would’ve been billed as a crunch match when it comes to the relegation battle.
  41. As things stand, Wolves sit nine points clear of the drop having managed to string togethers wins in their last two away Premier League games, as many as in their previous 19 combined (W2 D5 L12).
  42. Ipswich have lost each of their last five home Premier League matches – only once in their league history have suffered six consecutive home defeats, doing so between September and November 1963.
  43. FT: Everton 1-1 Arsenal
  44. Chris Sutton
  45. Former Blackburn striker on Final Score
  46. I think it was a very, very soft penalty.
  47. Even David Moyes will look at that and agree that the penalty was a soft one.

  50. This game sums our season up. No attacking threat, never really got going today, another questionable decision against us for the penalty.
  51. FT: Everton 1-1 Arsenal
  52. Ashley Williams
  53. Former Wales defender on Final Score
  54. Arsenal were very flat and they are in that space where they are not going to win the league and they are in the Champions League.
  55. I think Mikel Arteta may even already be looking at next season.
  56. Ipswich v Wolves (15:00 BST)
  57. Wolves boss Vitor Pereira will mark his 600th game in management against Ipswich this afternoon.
  58. But he won’t be in the dugout.
  59. He, along with assistant manager Luis Miguel, will serve a one-game touchline ban at Portman Road after being booked in Wolves’ last match against West Ham.

  67. The big news from Portman Road today is that the stadium will host its first ever boxing event on 7 June when Suffolk’s Fabio Wardley fights American Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller with the interim WBA World Heavyweight Championship on the line.
  68. Unbeaten Wardley, 30, grew up in the town, is a lifelong Ipswich supporter and wears the initials ITFC on his shorts for his fights.
  69. “As a proud Tractor Boy born and bred in Ipswich, this is a dream come true for me. Fighting for a world title at Portman Road means everything to me,” said Wardley. “I can’t wait to give my hometown crowd a spectacle they’ll never forget.”

  73. Wolves go to Portman Road closing in on survival with boss Vitor Pereira marking a milestone in management.
  74. The Portuguese takes charge of the 600th game of his career and is close to steering Wolves to safety.
  75. He replaced replaced Gary O’Neil in December when Wolves were four points from safety and has guided them to 17th and nine points above the Premier League relegation zone.
  76. “Six hundred matches across the world, filled with moments of great joy as well as challenges,” Pereira said. “Football is just like life – a world of intense emotions. It is an immense privilege to be in this great league, which I consider the best in the world and to help Wolverhampton achieve its goals.
  77. “These include securing our place in the Premier League while playing quality football and fostering a true sense of unity between the players, fans, club and city. We take great pride in our work, restoring joy and a sense of belonging to our fantastic supporters.”
  78. Pereira started his managerial career with Sanjoanense in 2004 while he has also had two spells at Porto and Fenerbache and time at 1860 Munich, Olympiacos, Corinthians, Flamengo and Al-Shabab before joining Wolves.
  79. His record stands at 320 wins, 144 draws, and 135 defeats, having won two titles in Portugal and the double in Greece.
  80. West Ham v Bournemouth (15:00 BST)
  81. Image source, Getty Images
  82. West Ham and Bournemouth are both trying to recover from midweek defeats.
  83. The Hammers lost 1-0 to Wolves on Tuesday night and haven’t won since they beat Leicester 2-0 at home on February 27.
  84. Bournemouth still have European ambitions but they’ll have to turn their stuttering form around quick. The Cherries haven’t won in 90 minutes in seven games.
  85. When these two met in the reverse fixture in December there was very late drama.
  86. West Ham thought they’d taken all three points through Lucas Paqueta’s 87th-minute penalty, only for Bournemouth to level thanks to Enes Unal’s stunning injury-time free-kick.
  87. West Ham v Bournemouth (15:00 BST)
  88. Chris Sutton
  89. Former Blackburn striker on Football Focus
  90. Bournemouth are out of the FA Cup and have picked up only one point from their past five league games. They have had a good season, and beaten all the teams in the top five apart from Liverpool, but it is in danger of fizzling out.
  91. That would be a shame, and not just for their players. Cherries boss Andoni Iraola could do with a strong finish to the campaign to ensure his reputation continues to grow.
  92. It finished 1-1 when these two sides met at the Vitality Stadium before Christmas and I am pretty sure the BBC readers will go for a draw this time too.
  93. West Ham have struggled at home of late, losing three of their past four there, with their only win coming against Leicester.
  94. Bournemouth’s form doesn’t suggest they will take the points either, but I am not sitting on the fence like I expect you lot will.
  95. Sutton’s prediction: 1-2

  103. It’s been an up and down season for Crystal Palace. That could be perhaps in part to the absence of star midfielder Adam Wharton.
  104. The 21-year-old was managing a groin issue at the beginning of this season which then required surgery, keeping him out for two months and missing 14 Premier League games.
  105. “I’m still not where I want to be fitness-wise. I haven’t played a full 90 minutes since I have been back,” Wharton told BBC Sport.
  106. “I’m getting there each game but feeling better within myself and feeling like I can move more freely.”
  107. Wharton says that although results at the beginning of the season did not go Palace’s way, he always believed the Eagles would improve.
  108. “We knew that if we kept at it the results would start turning,” he says. “We thought the confidence would then get better and better.”
  109. Since his return Wharton has produced a number of eye-catching performances and it is common to see edits of his best moments – such as a pirouette against Fulham – on social media. His friends enjoy sending him highlight reels, too.
  110. “You can’t get too ahead of yourself with them,” he adds. “It’s easy to take from a 90-minute game two minutes of good things or two minutes of bad things.
  111. “You just have to keep level-headed and go into every game as though nothing has happened and it’s a fresh start.
  112. “I’ve never really come out of a game thinking ‘[I’m] satisfied with my performance’. I’ve not had a perfect performance, I probably never will.”

  4. There are a few derby games this weekend and this one – the M23 derby – is one of my favourites.
  5. Both of these teams surprised me a bit last time out, and not in a good way.
  6. Crystal Palace have been in great form but only drew with Southampton and I backed Brighton to beat Aston Villa, who absolutely walloped them in the end.
  7. I promise I am not going to go for a draw with every prediction I make this week but the past five meetings between these two at Selhurst Park have ended 1-1, so that scoreline seems like a decent shout this time too.

  11. Express and Star Wolves journalist Liam Keen speaking on Football Focus: “I think you always have to be a little bit cautious because a team like Ipswich have loads of quality.

  26. Kieran McKenna’s side have been boosted by Wednesday’s 2-1 win at Bournemouth to keep their survival hopes alive – their first Premier League win of 2025.
  27. But only Liverpool (17) and Arsenal (14) have earned more points than 17th placed Wolves (13) in the past two months, a run which has pushed Vitor Pereira’s men clear of the bottom three.

A huge game near the bottom. Wolves pulled 12 points clear of the relegation zone with a midweek win over West Ham only for struggling Ipswich to reduce the gap to nine by winning at Bournemouth the following night. An Ipswich win will drag Wolves back into it.

WEST HAM (16th) v BOURNEMOUTH (10th)

Despite a poor run, Bournemouth remain in contention to secure European football for the first time in their history, while West Ham – who have a 14-point safety cushion – can start planning for next season.

ASTON VILLA (7th) v NOTT’M FOREST (3rd)

Villa are heading to the French capital after this for a huge Champions League quarter-final with Paris St-Germain on Wednesday. But they still have work to do to claim a place among next season’s European elite, and face an in-form Forest side who are closing in on a place in next season’s Champions League.
