LSU football standout Emery Jones Jr. has been selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Ravens picked Jones with the No. 91 overall pick in the third round Friday. Jones’ draft projections coming into the three-day event in Green Bay, Wisconsin, was scattered with experts seeing him being drafted as high as the third round and as low as the fifth.

What Emery Jones Jr. brings to Ravens in 2025 NFL Draft
Jones was an All-American level offensive lineman in college and was an immediate contributor as a freshman which led to him being a three-year starter. At 6-foot-6, 315 pounds, Jones’ size has been an asset for him and the Tigers.
Jones has a great combination of strength in his upper body and flexibility in his base that allows him to block a lot of space. LSU coaches raved about his knowledge and football IQ and Jones is athletic enough to find consistent success when pulling.

Playing with Will Campbell up front, Jones stood out just as much as his first-round teammate in how he performed in run blocking.
Jones was a mauler in run-block schemes and his film-room work allowed him to recognize blitzes off the edge. The big offensive lineman possesses plenty of strength in his hand, making him hard to disengage when he’s latched on.
Efficient pass protection was an issue for Jones this past season. Jones played with too high pad-level at times, making him susceptible to being blown by and would also find himself overextending to compensate, which led to him losing his balance.

Over his three seasons, LSU’s offense hummed. He blocked for Jayden Daniels and an offense that put up more than 40 points and 475 yards per game. Jones allowed just a handful of sacks in starting all but one game in three seasons.
LSU’s offensive line was Joe Moore Award finalist his sophomore season and he earned All-American honors as a freshman.
