FORT COLLINS, Colo. — There is a large police presence at the Foothills Mall in Fort Collins as officers investigate a shooting.

Fort Collins Police posted on social media that police are “actively investigating” a shooting at the mall on East Foothills Parkway. 

The mall is closed, police said, and officers are working to safely release anyone who was sheltered inside. The public is asked to avoid the area. 

No information has been provided regarding the number of victims or the severity of their injuries.
