Sam Curran is generally known to be a calm and pleasant personality. However, in the ongoing game against the Punjab Kings, the spectators saw an animated version of the English all-rounder. 

Sam Curran Makes An Aggressive Gesture After 50

The left-handed batter was sent at number three in the ongoing game. Curran made a steady start to the innings and but then accelerated at the right time and scored a brilliant half-century. After the half-century, Curran was seen celebrating animatedly. 

He made a gesture of ‘Call Me’ towards the dressing room. It was an animated gesture and probably a gesture to silence his critics, who were taking him for the lack of show in the previous outings.

Notably till IPL 2024, Sam Curran was a part of the PBKS side. However, ahead of IPL 2025 auction the management released the English all-rounder. This gives rise to the speculation that the celebration by the all-rounder was for his ex-team. 

Curran Provided Momentum To The CSK Innings

Sam Curran came out to bat at number three when after a steady start Chennai Super Kings lost their first wicket. They were 21/1 after 2.5 overs when he walked out to bat. 

Soon, Chennai Super Kings lost their second wicket and the pressure was on Ravindra Jadeja and Curran to revive the innings. Even though Jadeja’s innings did not last long, Curran played an impactful knock. 

He went to score a half-century and the celebration came after that. His innings turned out to be very impactful as he scored 88 off 47 balls. Curran’s knock set up the platform to put up a competitive total on the board.
