See the Real Reason Cameras Picked Back Up on RHOBH: “Cascading Insanity” (EXCLUSIVE)

One month after The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 wrapped in Saint Lucia, cameras resumed filming back in the 90210. The reason? As Erika Jayne explained, her ex-husband, Tom Girardi, “was found guilty of embezzlement.”

On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Erika shared how she’s feeling about Tom’s conviction now, revealing that “there are moments” she still thinks about him, but those thoughts don’t “have quite the claws” that they used to.

“Did it really hurt? Did I grieve this for a long time for many reasons, many layers? Yes. Does it hurt less and less everyday now? Yes,” she admitted, before adding, “It’s time to move on.”

Pointing out that she is more than 33 years Tom’s junior, Erika said that she long ago accepted the fact that “he was gonna get to the end of life, more likely, before” she did. “But not like this.”

“This was such a f–king random, like, what are you talking about?! kind of ending. Just all of this cascading insanity,” Erika continued, comparing their divorce amid the legal fallout to Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky‘s “more amicable” split.

“This was chaotic. It was just f–kin’ nuts. Chaos. And you’re like, ‘How do I make it out of here?'”

When an RHOBH After Show producer asked if Erika is still in touch with Tom “in any way” today, she simply responded, “No.”

How Erika Jayne reacted to Tom Girardi’s verdict on RHOBH finale

When Kyle came over to “be there for” Erika following the August 2024 news, Erika admitted on the Season 14 finale that she felt “terrible” and had begun slipping into a depression.

“Right before this verdict, I was doing so good,” she said. “I was feeling good, I was excited. And then the next day, I became tired, I started to want to sleep a lot. . . .[I] just didn’t want to slide back into that terrible place.”

In a confessional, the “Drip” singer further shared, “When I found out about the verdict, the walls started to close in … I literally felt like I was being dragged down, like I was being dragged under the ground.”

When Kyle asked if the verdict had at least brought her any sense of “closure,” Erika replied, “It’s very difficult because you think, like well, I know this person differently . . . and it f–ks me up inside.”

Citing her “very real” feelings of sadness, loss, and being overwhelmed, she added, “This ending is not OK.”

After all, as Erika explained in another confessional, “It’s not as easy as everyone thinks. I loved Tom very much. There’s a part of me that still loves Tom very much. I have incredible memories; I have terrible memories. And I wish things were not this way.”
