Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens enjoy another date after breaking news of a new baby

Simone Biles icon was chosen to deliver the ceremonial “Riders Up!” call at the 2025 Kentucky Derby on Saturday, marking yet another headline moment in her ever-evolving journey both on and off the mat. Joined by her husband, NFL safety Jonathan Owens, Biles dazzled as the couple mingled among a star-studded guest list that included Machine Gun Kelly and quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

But despite the high-profile attendees, it was Biles’ commanding presence and heartfelt moments from earlier in the week that truly resonated.

A glamorous weekend and big dreams ahead

Just before the Derby weekend festivities, Biles made another special appearance-this time at the baby shower of close friend Kayla Simone, a DIY and home lifestyle influencer. The intimate gathering was a celebration of new beginnings, and Biles was clearly moved by the milestone.

“Congrats to my beautiful friends, baby b is already so loved!” she wrote in a touching Instagram tribute. “We can’t wait for his arrival! Love y’all so much, you’re gonna be the best parents! I’m excited about this new chapter for y’all.”

The emotional post had fans wondering whether the celebrated gymnast may soon be embracing a new chapter of her own-motherhood. And Biles hasn’t exactly ruled it out.

The power couple began dating in August 2020 after matching on the celebrity dating app Raya. They got engaged 14 months later and tied the knot in April 2023. Since then, they’ve been each other’s biggest fans-supporting one another in sports, business, and life.

Biles returned to the global stage at the 2024 Paris Olympics in spectacular fashion after a brief hiatus from competition. But she acknowledged that time is beginning to weigh on her physically.

“My body is aging,” she admitted following her Paris run, sparking speculation about whether her competitive days might be nearing a close. With 11 Olympic medals and a jaw-dropping 32 golds across major international events, Biles is already one of the most decorated gymnasts in history-and certainly the most accomplished American gymnast of all time.
