American Tommy Paul, the No 12 seed, advanced to the third round of Roland-Garros by overturning the situation against Hungarian Marton Fucsovics 4-6, 2-6, 6-3, 7-5, 6-4 at Roland-Garros in Paris on Wednesday afternoon.

Fucsovics served for the match in the fourth set, but failed to capitalise, with Paul reaching the last 32 at the Parisian Grand Slam for the first time in his career.

Paul, ranked No 12, will face Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 24 seed, next.

In the previous round of the Roland-Garros 2025, the American won against Dane lucky loser Elmer Moller (6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-3, 6-1).

Fucsovics, ranked No 124, defeated Australian wildcard Tristan Schoolkate (6-4, 6-2, 6-2) in the previous round of the Roland-Garros 2025.
