The list of 10 highest earning golfers in the world will genuinely shock you!

Elite golf is awash with money right now.

When LIV Golf entered the market it did so by splashing the cash across the board and the PGA Tour decided it had no alternative but to do the same.

As a consequence to be a world top 50 (or 100 or even 200) golfer right now means earning more money than ever before.

But since the start of 2022, just who has earned the most money at the top of professional golf?

Well, be prepared, because some of the names aren’t the ones you might have expected.

In a report by olbg.com it has been revealed who is in the top 10 and the order is something of a shock – in fact, the names in there are rather unlikely too.

The results highlight that the impact of LIV Golf has been significant.

How so? Well, LIV pockets are deep and the price funds are significant.

No less than eight of world golf’s biggest earners come from the rebel circuit and two of them will not even be playing at Augusta National in this week’s Masters tournament.

So let’s cut to the chase and reveal the rankings.

Number 1 is Spain’s Jon Rahm who has earned $59,491,137.

Victory in the 2023 Masters and two LIV wins have been big factors, but he’s actually 17-for-17 at finishing top 10 on LIV which is bound to be lucrative and has nine wins in all during this period.

Number 2 is the first big shock.

It’s the American Talor Gooch who has banked $57,095,280, an amazing figure for a man who has no top five anywhere since last May, but it is off the back of three LIV wins in 2023.

Number 3 is another LIV multiple winner and another American – Dustin Johnson with $56,108,880. It helped that he won on LIV in both the last two seasons.

Number 4 introduces the World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler to the equation with $53,583,895. It helps that he’s won 13 times since January 2022.

Number 5 is the Chilean Joaquin Niemann who has become a regular winner (seven times since January 2022) but has “only” landed $44,986,998.

Number 6 is Brooks Koepka $42,442,415,

Number 7 is Cameron Smith $42,013,874

Number 8 is Sergio Garcia $40,803,908.

Number 9 is Rory McIlroy. It’s far lower down the list than you might expect but he’s won $33,872,356 so he’s okay.

Number 10 might be the least easy to guess. It’s South Africa’s Branden Grace on $31,281,011. He was an early LIV winner and has three top three finishes there in 2023.
