On Thursday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will look to complete their season series sweep against the Golden State Warriors. So far, the two teams have gone head-to-head three times with the Lakers winning each of those games.
With less than two weeks left in the regular season, the Lakers own the No. 3 seed in the West and are just two games ahead of Golden State in the standings. The winner of Thursday’s game will get a big boost and gain a lot of momentum just before the start of the playoffs.
Ahead of their matchup against the Lakers, the Warriors made a big decision regarding Jonathan Kuminga that will have an impact on the game.

Kuminga missed the Warriors’ most recent game against the Memphis Grizzlies due to a pelvic injury. However, the fourth-year forward is set to make his return against the Lakers, per The Athletic’s Anthony Slater. Additionally, according to Slater, the Warriors have decided to continue playing Kuminga off the bench.
“Jonathan Kuminga is active and available for the Warriors tonight off the bench at Lakers,” Slater wrote on X.
Kuminga has appeared in just 41 games for the Warriors this season, though he looks very solid when he is on the court. On the year, Kuminga is averaging 16 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.
In Kuminga’s only game against the Lakers this season, he recorded 14 points on 4-for-10 shooting, six rebounds, and one steal. On Thursday night, it will be worth keeping an eye on him to see what he can bring as the Warriors look to secure their first victory against the Lakers this season.
