One of the longest and most entertaining ovals on the NASCAR Cup Series circuit is set to host another exciting race on Sunday, as the series returns to the Talladega Superspeedway for the Jack Link’s 500.
NASCAR’s top series was off last week, possibly recuperating before the chaos that is ‘Dega. The last time we saw the Cup Series in action was at Bristol Motor Speedway, when Kyle Larson was able to outlast the pack for his second win of the season.

The Last Great Colisseum saw another great run from Denny Hamlin, who finished second behind Larson. It keeps Hamlin right behind Byron for second in the points. Byron, the Daytona 500 champion, still leads the pack despite having just the one win this season, while drivers like Larson, Hamlin and Bell have all won twice this season.
NASCAR is back at Talladega, where the unlikeliest names can become legends. Rochester native Brad Keselowski leads all current drivers with six wins at the superspeedway, tied for second all-time. Joey Logan, Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott are other drivers to have won at ‘Dega.
