Almost two weeks after crowds of protesters gathered in cities across the United States to denounce President Donald Trump, another protest has been planned in 50 states on April 19. The “Hands Off” protest held rallies in 1,200 locations, including in all 50 US states.

Anti-Trump groups, including those involved in “Hands Off” rally, have planned another of protest called by ‘The 50501’ group. The ‘50501’ group stands for “50 protests in 50 states, 1 movement,” which is planning simultaneous demonstrations across all 50 states on April 19 and hopes to rally a crowd similar in size to the April 5 “Hands Off” protest. The group said the movement and its calls for action began as a response to what it describes as the “antidemocratic and illegal actions” of the Trump administration.

They also want an end to cuts in federal funding for Medical aid, Social Security and other key programs that working class depends on. They have also demanded an end to attack on immigrants, transgenders and other marginalized communities. -On April 5, the “Hands Off!” protests were organized as a nationwide mobilization across the U.S. for people to oppose the policies and actions of Trump. The demonstrations focused on a wide range of issues, including Trump’s executive actions, mass federal layoffs overseen by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), hardline immigration crackdowns and the U.S. responses to the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza.
