We’re a little over 24 hours away from Day 1 of WrestleMania 41. If what we’ve seen over the past two years is a good indication—and it probably is—the 2025 version of The Showcase of Immortals is going to be both a culmination of long-form storytelling and seed planting for upcoming WrestleManias.
I’m excited. Here’s the viewing information for Day 1 along with the expected card and a prediction for the match order.
WrestleMania 41 Night One – 7 PM ET on Peacock or Netflix Internationally
Predicted Match Order
- WWE Women’s Championship: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Charlotte Flair
- World Tag Team Championship: War Raiders (c) vs. The New Day
- United States Championship: LA Knight (c) vs. Jacob Fatu
- Jade Cargill vs. Naomi
- Rey Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano
- World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso
- Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins – Triple Threat
WWE usually starts off its biggest premium live events with one of the biggest matches on the card. For example, the Royal Rumble has traditionally started with the Women’s Royal Rumble.
Following suit, I predict Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair will kick off Day 1. This feud got some much-needed flavor when the two women seemingly went on a shoot during a recent episode of SmackDown in Chicago.
There were barbs about both Superstars’ former and current significant others and some deep-cutting insults. All is fair in sports entertainment, but fans wondering if the two performers were literally going for each other’s throats was the most interesting thing to happen to this upcoming match.
Normally, there is a bit of a dip in stakes for the second match, which is why the tag-team title match between the War Raiders and The New Day could be batting second. I’m wondering if the Street Profits, the WWE Tag Team Champions, will get a title defense added to the ledger for Day 2.
If it’s going to happen, it has to come to fruition on SmackDown tonight in Las Vegas.
We know for sure that the main event will see CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins battle in a Triple Threat match with as many layers as a Great Sequoia. Will Paul Heyman turn on Punk, Reigns, or both?
It’s all a possibility, and there is a possibility for genius no matter which way things go. It would make sense for Heyman, Punk, and Rollins to perhaps form an alliance and ambush Reigns.
No one would see that coming, and it could also help to provide Reigns an opportunity to take another hiatus. That’s just a theory, not a spoiler or even a prediction. However, if it does happen, I’ll be sure to claim it as the latter.
For those wondering about Day 2’s schedule, here’s what it looks like heading into SmackDown. Things could change if there are a few last-minute matches added.
