WWE Raw advertised CM Punk, Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman under the same roof.
Raw also advertised Bayley challenging Lyra Valkyria for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, Penta vs. Dominik Mysterio and the world’s clumsiest GM Adam Pearce making his next fumble of the worst storyline going this WrestleMania season between Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair and Iyo Sky.
Raw also advertised the New Day vs. the War Raiders for the WWE World Tag Team Championships.

Rhea Ripley Added To World Title Match At WrestleMania
Adam Pearce accidentally announced that Rhea Ripley was “representing the Judgment Day.” It was a very fitting fumble for a storyline that WWE has fumbled worse than any other this WrestleMania season.
Bianca Belair made sound points about how she had to earn her way into WrestleMania, but Rhea Ripley was simply handed yet another opportunity to be world champion. Still, fans just want to see Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania, so they were spat in the face of good storytelling and booed Bianca. My words, not Bianca’s
Bianca was wearing all black once again. A heel turn cannot be too far behind, and Bianca is quickly becoming WWE’s new ’97 Bret Hart. She’s trending toward being a heel who is never wrong and has every reason in the world to hold a grudge.
Iyo Sky laid out both Bianca and Rhea as WWE continues to tell the story of Sky being the third wheel in this feud. I think Iyo will win at WrestleMania, setting the stage for a feud between Rhea Ripley and Heel Bianca.
Women’s Opening Segment Grade: F
Lyra Valkyria Def. Bayley
It was almost like WWE gave Bayley her WrestleMania singles match two weeks before WWE’s biggest show.
Lyra and Bayley went back-and-forth, so did Minnesota, who chanted for both. Lyra won with a counter to the Roseplant, and a frustrated Bayley stormed off.
Bayley and Valkyria will team up for an opportunity to face Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the Women’s Tag Titles. I could see Bayley and Lyra winning the title shot, losing the title match and Bayley turning heel. The return of “Ding Dong” Bayley would be fire.

American Made Def. LWO
Chad Gable appeared backstage in a segment with Bert Kreischer. In a moment that made too much sense, Kreischer was joined by Otis, and both meatheads shared a shirtless hug.
American Made featured the Creed Brothers and El Grande Americano.
LWO built a head of stream and led the crowd in an “LWO” chant before hitting an impressive triple dive to the outside.
The referee lost complete control of the match when the action returned to the ring, which saw a triple superplex from American Made before the break.
This trios contest was all kinds of awesome at its peak, which saw one death-defying dive after another. The finish came when El Grande Americano inserted a steel plate in his mask and hit a flying headbutt. Michael Cole noted El Santo used to also use a steel plate, but for safety purposes.
After the match, Rey Mysterio demanded a WrestleMania match against El Grande Americano, and it was granted by Adam Pearce.
American Made vs. LWO Grade: A+
Jey Uso Cuts A Great Promo On GUNTHER
GUNTHER was interrupted by Jey Uso, who sulked to the ring wearing all black. Jey was the only person in the building not yeeting. GUNTHER was (sarcastically) yeeting more than Jey was.
A furious Jey Uso slapped the microphone out of GUNTHER’s hand and could barely collect himself to cut a promo.
Jey Uso cut the promo of his career. He channeled all the rage and emotion that would have come across in a beatdown of GUNTHER, except in the form of a promo. He told GUNTHER he would pray for the man he was about to become. Jey said he wasn’t scared of GUNTHER anymore. Fans went wild for this. GUNTHER was great in his role, where he went from cocky heel to scared-out-of-his-mind champion. I can’t wait for this match.
GUNTHER-Jey Uso Segment: A+
The New Day Def. The War Raiders By DQ
Tony Hinchcliffe appeared on commentary and made a rehashed joke, saying the first match Michael Cole called was David vs. Goliath. Hinchcliffe made up for it with an edgier joke about Michael Cole being “stiffer than Big E’s neck.” Wrestling Twitter is not going to like that one.
The War Raiders dominated the New Day with a series of double-team power moves. Hinchcliffe was strongly in the corner of New Day. The match ended abruptly with a chair shot from Ivar to Xavier Woods. Kofi came back with a chair shot of his own on Ivar. The New Day drove Erik’s face into the chair as they dismantled the War Raiders.
The New Day was just barely stopped from breaking Erik’s neck by WWE officials. I smell a WrestleMania rematch, and it’ll be a much deserved stage for both teams.
The New Day vs. the War Raiders Grade: B-
Penta Def. Dominik Mysterio
Fans were all over Dominik Mysterio with chants of “Dom, you suck!”
Dominik hit an impressive Mexican Destroyer, followed by a 619. It legit looked like Dom was about to spring an upset before landing on Penta’s knees.
Dominik was impressive in this match, where the story was that Dom is a “choker” who “can’t win the big one.” Penta ultimately won with the Penta Driver.
Carlito and Dom attacked Penta after the match, but Bron Breakker made the save. Bron Speared Penta, Finn Balor laid out Bron and Balor escaped a Spear. I think Dominik Mysterio will win by pinning Finn Balor.
Penta vs. Dominik Mysterio Grade: B
Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman And CM Punk
Paul Heyman insisted he will always be loyal to both Roman Reigns and CM Punk. Fans booed, but I don’t know whether they were booing Heyman, Punk or Reigns.
Seth Rollins twisted the knife and asked Heyman whose side he’s on. Fans chanted for both CM Punk and Roman Reigns when Seth dropped their names. Reigns was booed more than Punk.
Rollins told Heyman that Roman Reigns doesn’t respect Paul Heyman. Rollins made a sound point about how Roman disappeared after WrestleMania and left Heyman in the hands of Solo Sikoa and the Bloodline. Of course, this led to the Bloodline massacring Heyman. Despite a strong promo, fans chanted for Roman Reigns.
Counselor Rollins continued to make his airtight closing argument as he talked about CM Punk walking out on WWE and not taking Heyman with him. Seth said CM Punk was not the first choice to be on Team Roman WarGames. Seth was. Rollins was phenomenal in this segment, and even punctuated it by quoting CM Punk (“stop me when I’m telling lies.”)
Since CM Punk is more interested in making money than he is friends, Rollins bullied Paul Heyman until it was worth it for CM Punk to run down and save Paul. Punk and Rollins brawled, and the brawl ended when Rollins outsmarted Punk and hit him with a Stomp. Rollins then teased a stomp on Heyman before saying “now, you owe me a favor.”
I feel strongly that Seth Rollins will win the Night 1 main event and walk out with Seth Rollins.
