WWE Veteran Calls Gunther A “Cold Blooded Destruction Machine”; Heaps Praises On Recent Raw Segment

This WWE veteran has opened up on Gunther’s violent segment from Raw.

Last week, on the 31st March episode of Raw, fans witnessed Gunther launch a violent ambush on Jimmy Uso. With his WrestleMania opponent, Jey Uso, bound to the ropes, the Ring General compelled Uso to watch as he savagely beat and injured his twin brother.

The segment became a talking point amongst the fans and critics. While a Hall of Famer recently shared his negative thoughts on the segment, veteran Matt Hardy called it out as a good buildup for their WrestleMania 41 match. Speaking on the latest edition of The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt Hardy said,

“100% he is. I think if you take, you know he just recently teamed with his brother, they had a great outing, but you take his brother, which is someone he’s got a long history with and you put him in the ring with this guy’s opposition and now he’s taking this out on his brother. He’s destroying his brother right in front of him, he’s handcuffed, can’t do anything. It feels so hopeless and defenseless, right?

He’s going to feel guilty deep down because he did that to his brother because of him and their issues. I thought that was great storytelling, I thought it was a great way to make Gunther a real badass who’s a real cold blooded destruction machine. I loved all that and I thought it was a great way to build the match.”

Uso and Gunther are now scheduled to appear during the 7th April episode of Raw tonight.

WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg Believes Gunther To Be His Logical Retirement Opponent

Earlier this year, during an interview with Ariel Helwani, Goldberg opened up on the possibility of facing Gunther in his retirement match.

“I haven’t been able to do much at all preparation-wise. But I think that the positives of the stem cell treatment were such a positive that it was worth me staying out of the gym for the longest period of time I ever have in my entire life and and staying away from physical activity.

“If it was Gunther and I that would be logical. There’s some heat there, obviously, that’s already been placed. And he’s the new generation. I’m the old generation. It’s kind of like a passing of the torch in a way.”
