Yankees vs Blue Jays game postponed Saturday due to weather. Here’s the updated schedule

NEW YORK – Ahead of a rainy afternoon forecast, Saturday’s Yankees game against the Toronto Blue Jays was rained out at Yankee Stadium.

It will be made up as part of a single admission doubleheader Sunday beginning at 1:35 p.m.

According to manager Aaron Boone, Saturday’s scheduled starter Max Fried will pitch the opener and Sunday’s scheduled starter Clarke Schmidt will pitch the nightcap.

Devin Williams’ immediate status as the Yankees’ closer remained up in the air Saturday morning, with Boone saying he’d yet to speak with the struggling right-hander.

“We’ll still talk through this. We’ll try and do what’s best for the team and Devin,” Boone said, a day after Williams’ ERA in 10 games rose to 11.25 following a blown save in Friday’s 4-2 Blue Jays win.

Sunday’s second game will begin approximately 30 minutes after the end of the first game. Tickets for Saturday’s game are not valid for either of Sunday’s games.

According to the Yankees, anyone with paid tickets for the April 26 postponed game may exchange them for tickets to a similar regular season game at Yankee Stadium, subject to availability.
