The Vermont-based company is celebrating its annual Free Cone Day, where customers can receive a free ice cream cone all day long. The tradition dates back to 1979, a year after Ben & Jerry’s was established.
This year, Milwaukeeans can celebrate it for the first time, with the first and only Ben & Jerry’s in Wisconsin opening last summer.
“We want to thank our fans for being the best fans in the world with free ice cream and a moment of pure joy,” Dave Stever, Ben & Jerry’s CEO, said in a news release. “This year, more than ever, we’re reminded how powerful those small moments of happiness can be.”
