Young Thug & Future Kick Off UY SCUTI Rollout With The Anticipated “Money On Money”

Young Thug and Future pick up where they left off with Lil Baby to ready UY SCUTI with the fierce collaboraiton, “Money on Money.”

Young Thug’s first major release since leaving jail in late 2024. The single answers the question if incareration affected his creativity. It sets the stage for his upcoming album UY SCUTI, named after one of the largest known stars—a cosmic metaphor for his ambition and scope.

Produced by Wheezy and Lil 88, the track pulses with menace and luxury. The beat is slick yet aggressive, perfect for clubs or closed-door deals. Thugger and Pluto exchange verses rich in bravado and scarred by betrayal.

Their deliveries—gritty and unflinching—treat money as more than status. It’s survival, power, and protection. The track’s visual amplifies the excitement. A burning Young Stoner Life rug signals reinvention.

The duo speeds through a shipping yard in a blood-red car, leaving behind more than smoke. Their ride feels like an escape, a ritual, a warpath. “Money on Money” is no victory lap. It’s a warning shot.

Thug and Future sound like survivors who’ve turned pain into performance. Their chemistry is raw, their message clear: survival is art, and art is war.

This track announces a new era. Thug isn’t restoring his image—he’s redefining it. Future, as always, plays prophet to the storm.

Together, they craft a ruthless anthem that doesn’t just flash wealth—it weighs it. This isn’t just a single. It’s a mission statement.

Now that Young Thug doesn’t have to worry about any more legal issues, at least for now, he can focus on the task at hand. That would be dropping his first album since 2023’s BUSINESS IS BUSINESS. Although, he wasn’t really able to fully enjoy that project’s rollout. So, with that in mind, you could argue that his last record was 2021’s Punk. Regardless of the timeline technicalities though, this is going to be a major moment for hip-hop in 2025 when it does happen. Thugger has been teasing UY SCUTI on social media with tweets, clearing his Instagram posts, and previewing unreleased tracks.

Things got underway at the beginning of March with the latter and the Atlanta native has been ramping up the hype levels nonstop since then. There have been some moments where fans weren’t feeling Young Thug like with the last snippet he teased. It was a more chill and melodic cut and tracks like these from him typically don’t get the same love as his aggressive trap cuts. But this one tracked down by NFR Podcast has been receiving little to no complaints.

It has a mixtape-like aesthetic to it with the loud church bells and rattling hi-hats. There isn’t much to report on terms of lyrics as it sounds like it’s the beginning of the track that Young Thug is showing off. But nevertheless, fans are dying to hear more. “Nah that’s actually 🔥” one IG user comments. “Alr better than I am music,” another adds. Perhaps that’s a mini jab at the Playboi Carti fans who were discounting Thug’s album rollout.

It sounds like we will get to hear new material from him very soon, though. There are rumors running around on social media that some time in May is when he will be dropping UY SCUTI. This started after a billboard was spotted that said, “UNIVERSE HAS BEEN TOO QUIET. UNTIL NOW. UY SCUTI.” Of course, nothing has been confirmed yet, but the end could be near and we are all very excited.

Young Thug is gearing up for a new album soon, but many folks wonder whether or not his sound and style will change post-RICO release. Fortunately for fans, we will not wait long to find out, as new snippets and collaborations gave them a pretty solid idea as of late. In a new song preview he posted on social media, you can hear him on a melancholy trap instrumental flowing melodically in his softer register, and it doesn’t sound like much at face value. Some fans expressed disappointment online, but others can’t get enough of melodic Thugger. So we’ll see how accurate this preview is and how the track actually turns out.

This kind of reminded some fans of Young Thug’s recent MUSIC feature, landing on “WE NEED ALL DA VIBES” with Ty Dolla $ign on the Playboi Carti album. That record also provided more of a sunny and carefree performance compared to his other, more aggressive or psychedelic offerings. Of course, the Atlanta icon is an incredibly versatile artist with a lot of different voices and great strides in various sub-genres of hip-hop and R&B-adjacent stuff.

Elsewhere, for those unaware of the new Young Thug album rollout, he seems to have found a kindred spirit in one of the biggest supergiant stars in the known universe: UY Scuti. He rocked a jersey with that star name at an NBA game with his boo Mariah The Scientist recently, and both him and various other big collaborators like Future also referenced Scuti on social media. Some fans actually thought that Thug was going to drop something this week, which sadly did not turn out to be true. Here’s hoping we get new music soon if these teases are actually building up to something.

Meanwhile, later this year, Young Thug will perform for the first time since the RICO trial later this summer at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash festival in Illinois, which is incredibly exciting. His big comeback show will be very huge to witness, and it’s another big reason as to why fans think a new album is around the corner.

It’s been several months now since Young Thug was finally released from prison. He was behind bars for over two years before standing trial on RICO charges. The trial ended up becoming the longest in Georgia’s state history, but in October of last year, he accepted a plea deal. He was handed 15 years of probation with a “backloaded” 20-year prison sentence, which will disappear when he successfully completes probation.

For obvious reasons, fans have been eager to hear what the Atlanta rapper has up his sleeve. Fortunately, an apparent hint he dropped earlier this week left many convinced that a new album will be coming soon. He was spotted at Tuesday night’s Miami Heat game against the Golden State Warriors, holding up a jersey that said “UY Scuti.” It’s unclear exactly what this means, but supporters took it as a hint about his upcoming project. The next day, Future added fuel to the fire by tweeting the same phrase.

Today, however, Young Thug made it clear that it won’t be that simple. “Yall mfers goin have to beg me to drop this sh*t nocizzy,” he tweeted simply. Of course, social media users have mixed feelings about the tweet. While some are clowning him and making comparisons to Playboi Carti, others are going with it. “PRETTY PLEASE WITH CHERRIES ON TOP JEFFERY,” one fan writes in his replies on X. “Im on my hands and knees bro,” another says. For now, any information pertaining to a release date remains a mystery.

Young Thug fans believe the rapper is on the precipice of starting the rollout process for a new album. During Tuesday night’s Miami Heat game against the Golden State Warriors, he was in attendance and showed off a jersey with the name “UY Scuti” on it. The name refers to the largest star in the universe. The following day, Thug then followed a new Instagram account named after the same star. He had recently made headlines for clearing his page.

When Kurrco shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), fans celebrated the idea in the replies. “A summer young thug album is everything I want rn,” one user wrote. Another added: “That would be a tough album name icl.” One more remarked: “He absorbed Carti’s mysterious gimmick.” Others predicted the project could arrive as soon as April.

Young Thug has yet to make a formal announcement about his highly-anticipated next album, which will be his first since getting out of jail after taking a plea deal in the viral YSL RICO trial, last year. Despite not putting out a project, he has still dropped some new music. For one, he collaborated with Lil Baby for a track on his new project, Wham. In doing so, he contributed a verse for the song, “Dum, Dumb, and Dumber,” and appeared in its music video as well. Additionally, a snippet of one of his unreleased songs surfaced online, earlier this month, further sparking excitement for new music.

It’s possible a new album from Thug could arrive prior to him taking the stage at the Belgian music festival Les Ardentes on July 5. The event organizers announced that show, earlier this month, marking the rapper’s first concert since becoming a free man. “Eight years after his last visit to Les Ardentes, Young Thug is back,” they wrote on their website. “See you on Saturday, July 5th for an ME-MO-RABLE show!”

Young Thug has signed on to headline this year’s Summer Smash in Bridgeview, Illinois, on Sunday, June 22. It’s the third performance Thug has announced since taking a plea deal in the YSL RICO trial to avoid prison time. He previously agreed to join the lineup of the Belgian festival Les Ardentes as well as Openair Frauenfeld in Switzerland, both of which will take place in July.

The announcement comes as fans continue to theorize that Young Thug is about to announce his fourth studio album. Attending the Miami Heat game against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, Thug showed off a jersey with the name “UY Scuti” on it. The name refers to the largest star in the universe. He also cleared his Instagram and followed a page with the same name. Then, taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, he wrote: “Yall mfers goin have to beg me to drop this sh*t nocizzy.” Fans in the replies expectedly obeyed. “PRETTY PLEASE WITH CHERRIES ON TOP JEFFERY,” one user wrote. Another added: “i am on me knees in the break room begging you to please drop. please.”

In addition to Young Thug, Summer Smash will be hosting several other popular artists on its lineup for 2025. Other headliners include Future, Yeat, and Don Toliver. Moving down the lineup, Trippie Redd, Sexyy Red, Lil Yachty, Quavo, Ski Mask the Slump God, and many more will also be performing. The event will take place at SeatGeek Stadium from Friday, June 20, to Sunday, June 22. Tickets will be going on sale on Friday, March 28th. “I feel lucky to be able to throw the party of the year with my best friends,” Cole Bennett, the event’s co-founder, said in a press release caught by Rolling Stone. “May this be the best one yet. Lucky No. 7.”

In other news, Lil Baby recently revealed that he, Future, and Young Thug have discussed working on a collaborative album together. “There probably won’t be a me and Future tape anymore because Thug is back,” he said during an interview with Complex. “So whatever it would be, it’ll be all three of us. [And that’s] super exciting, because to me, those are two of the main people that I would say I look up to in the rap game. So to be able to spar with them, I feel like that’s sharpened me up a whole lot.”
