1-year-old girl found safe after abduction from Seattle day care, suspect in custody
SEATTLE — Seattle police have safely recovered a 1-year-old girl who was abducted from a day care Friday afternoon.
Seattle police said they took the female suspect into custody and that she had a history of violence towards the child’s family.
The child was taken from a day care, the MARS Early Learning Academy, near 9300 Rainier Avenue South around 2:30 p.m., according to Seattle police.
Police said the suspect, identified as Quiana Marks,47, is known to the family and has a history of violence and threats towards the child’s mother.
Kent police assisted Seattle police during the search for the 1-year-old.
