Mitchell Parker will take the visiting mound for the first game of this series for Washington. The left-hander is undefeated this season with a 2-0 record and a sub-1.00 ERA at 0.73. He went 6.0 innings in his last start, a game that ended 4-3 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He allowed one earned run on two hits with two strikeouts.

Miami will start Cal Quantrill on the mound to open their home stretch in Florida. The right-hander is 1-1 in his starts this season with a 6.00 ERA and six strikeouts in 9.0 innings. Quantrill won his last game 4-0 against the Atlanta Braves on the road. He threw 5.0 scoreless innings, allowing only four hits with four strikeouts.
