San Diego is sitting just two spots ahead of Louisville in the standings, also with a record of 1-1-2 and a total of four points. The Wave also suffered a 2-0 loss its last time out which took place last weekend against the Kansas City Current. The scoring started early for Kansas City as Debinha netted a goal in the 18th minute to give her team a 1-0 lead. Lo’eau LaBonta followed seven minutes later to extend Kansas City’s lead. While the Current slightly outshot the Wave at 9-8, the Wave had more quality opportunities, forcing Lorena to make four saves in net to Kailen Sheridan’s two for San Diego.

San Diego and Racing Louisville last met in November and the game went in the Wave’s favor with a 3-1 victory.
