Both sides are still positioning themselves in terms of seeding for the playoffs, making this game crucial to each team. However, there are some big names on the injury report heading into this matchup.

For the Knicks, star forward OG Anunoby has been ruled out for this contest. Anunoby has been dealing with a right thumb sprain and will be forced to miss this game.

New York will also be without center Mitchell Robinson and guard Josh Hart for the game. This is a blow to the depth that the Knicks have and could cause some issues against Detroit.

As for the Pistons, the biggest name on the injury report is star guard Cade Cunningham. Cunningham is dealing with a left knee issue and has landed on the report.

Cunningham was listed as probable for the game and will play in this contest.

This is big for the Pistons as they are trying to position themselves for the postseason. Detroit is back in the playoffs and will look to make some noise this year.

New York enters this game as the No. 3 seed in the East. They hold a record of 50-29 for the season, with only a few days left until the postseason.

The Knicks have yet to clinch a seed but will either be the No. 3 or No. 4 seed, depending on how things play out. New York is a talented team, but they will need to prove themselves in the postseason, casting any doubters aside.

Entering this game, the Pistons are currently slotted in as the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference. Detroit holds a record of 43-36 on the season, and they enter this game on a two-game losing streak.

The Pistons want to enter the postseason on a high note, so taking down New York could help. This is a young team, so any momentum they can have will greatly benefit them in the playoffs.
