Miami Masters: Cerundolo upsets Paul for spot in last 16

Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 23 seed, moved into the last 16 of the Miami Masters by winning against American Tommy Paul, the No 12 seed, 6-2, 7-6 (4) at the Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday night.

Cerundolo, ranked No 24, will play Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 5 seed, next.

The Argentinian beat Frenchman Alexandre Muller (6-1, 6-2) ahead of his victory.

In the previous round of the Miami Open, Paul, ranked No 13, edged out Kazakh Alexander Bublik (5-7, 7-5, 6-4).
