Police respond to scene of shooting on March 13, 2025.

CATONSVILLE, Md. (WBFF) — A police officer has been shot, and there is a large presence of authorities near UMBC’s campus in Catonsville.

Baltimore County Police Department says the Public Information Officer is en route to the 900 block of Walker Ave. in Catonsville after a reported shooting.

A source tells FOX45 that an officer was shot outside Wilkens Precinct, and has been taken to Shock Trauma.

Officers say additional updates will be provided as they become available.

UMBC Police posted on X to expect a police presence around UMMC Shock Trauma, and for drivers to expect delays and consider using alternate routes.
