Going to Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this weekend? Bring some extra water and your sunblock.
Temperatures were expected to exceed the triple digits at the festival in the Coachella Valley, where more than 100,000 are expected to gather to experience performances from some of music’s biggest stars.
KTLA’s Mark Kriski said things could get chilly for the campers at night, but during the day the sun will be shining all over the festival area.
“Clear skies and hot temperatures all the way across [the day],” he said.

The high on Friday was 101 degrees according to forecasts. The highs for Saturday and Sunday, rounding out weekend one, were 97 and 95 degrees respectively.
The lows, however, were expected to plummet down to the high 50s on Friday night and mid 60s the rest of the weekend.
The high temperatures come after campers experienced “unconscionable” lines to get into the camping area on Thursday.
