Western Michigan hockey faces Minnesota State en route to Frozen Four, how to watch

Western Michigan Hockey opens its fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance with a Midwest matchup with Minnesota State University.

The Broncos face the Mavericks at Scheels Arena in North Dakota at 5 p.m. Thursday. Both programs are meeting for the first time.

WMU leads the NCAA with 30 wins this season and since 2025, have scored 103 goals with an average of 4.68 goals per game.

Western Michigan also won their conference tournament (NCHC) in double-overtime Saturday night. The winner of Thursday’s game will face the winner of 2-seed Minnesota and 3-seed UMass on Saturday evening.

Additionally, Michigan State Hockey will play in Cornell in Toledo on Thursday.
